LINC Seed Grant Program Manuscript Highlights IPE Innovations & Success at UT Health San Antonio

One critical component of UT Health San Antonio’s Quality Enhancement Plan was the development and implementation of a seed grant program to incentivize faculty engagement and innovation in  interprofessional education (IPE). A team of LINC contributors led by Drs. Rekha Kar and Rebecca Moote recently analyzed outcomes from the first four annual funding cycles, which spanned 2019-2022. During this period, LINC awarded a total of $100,509 to support 22 IPE projects that involved 80 faculty and staff members and over 2,100 student participants. The manuscript, published in the Journal of Interprofessional Care, highlights a host of achievements of funded projects, including the development of nine sustained IPE activities, the integration of four IPE activities into educational programs, and the dissemination of 24 scholarly presentations and three peer-reviewed publications.
