UT Health San Antonio Contributes to Successful International Interprofessional Case Competition

The 3rd Annual International Interprofessional Case Competition (I2C2), which UT Health San Antonio helped launch in 2021, recently concluded with 62 students from 11 universities assigned to 12 interprofessional teams. This year’s I2C2 asked students from diverse professions, institutions, and countries to tackle a complex clinical case using innovative interprofessional solutions. Each team submitted a video presentation of their solution, which was scored by a panel of judges. Top-scoring teams advanced to a live final round on Zoom.

Three of the top scoring teams included student representatives from UT Health San Antonio. Dr. Moshtagh Farokhi, School of Dentistry representative to the LINC Faculty Council and leader of the LINC Didactic IPE Initiative, served as the faculty advisor to the winning team. Dr. Anthony Breitbach, LINC External Advisory Council member, also served as a faculty advisor during this year’s competition.
