LINC Impacts National Academies of Practice Annual Meeting Through Scholarship and Sponsorship

The LINC Clinical Research Initiatives was proud to present their research scholarship at the National Academies of Practice (NAP) 2025 Annual Meeting & Forum in Washington DC. Dr. Catherine Torrington Eaton (pictured right),
Assistant Professor in the School of Health Professions and Leader of the Initiative, and Dr. Joseph Zorek (pictured left), LINC’s Executive Director, represented the team.
The team’s poster Mapping Interprofessional Practice for Dementia Care identified interprofessional practice models from the published literature designed to support and enhance the wellbeing of people with dementia and their caregivers. Findings demonstrated that while interprofessional practice models support patient care, few studies incorporate structured training or tools to facilitate interprofessional collaboration. This gap in care highlights the need for interprofessional practice training programs and resources to improve team collaboration, to enhance dementia care outcomes.
Additionally, LINC was honored to be one of 17 sponsors of the conference, which also included peer institutions such as The Ohio State University, the University of Michigan, and the National Center for International Practice and Education at the University of Minnesota.
