Summary

As part of UT Health San Antonio’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), the Linking Interprofessional Networks for Collaboration (LINC) office, Faculty Council and Didactic Initiative groups have designed and implemented the Common IPE Experience that takes place in the fall semester. This IPE activity series is for all first-year students matriculating into the university in the summer and fall semesters. Students from the graduate school of biomedical sciences, dental, medical, nursing and school of health professions are placed into interprofessional groups of three to four students and complete three modules in a self-directed, non-faculty facilitated synchronous manner. Students are allowed to schedule their own time to meet over the course of two months to complete all three modules either in person or by using a videoconferencing platform.
