Summary

Military veterans face significant issues related to their reintegration into the civilian community after their separation or retirement from active-duty service. Understanding and integrating the unique challenges Veterans face into the healthcare they receive is essential for providing the best possible care. Unfortunately, many veterans believe their healthcare providers lack understanding of the military culture and their needs. The PrICE for Vets provided an interprofessional education (IPE) and training for health professions students on military culture and the provision of quality care to veterans.
