LINC Student Council
The LINC Student Council is comprised of student representatives from each of our five schools at UT Health San Antonio and a multitude of educational programs. Members contribute to QEP goals by cultivating interprofessional education (IPE) knowledge & skills and increasing opportunities for student IPE experiences. They provide insight and feedback on a regular basis to improve the quality of IPE activities developed through LINC. Most of the guidance and advice from the LINC Student Council is provided on a prospective basis; meaning, while IPE activities or initiatives are under development. In this manner, students’ voices and perspectives contribute maximally to successful outcomes. Pilot testing of LINC-developed IPE activities by members of the LINC Student Council prior to large-scale implementation has proven invaluable.
Each spring, the LINC Student Council organizes the annual LINC IPE Symposium with a mission of bringing award-winning interprofessional education (IPE) opportunities to UT Health San Antonio faculty, staff and students. Through in-person and live virtual events, attendees experience student- and faculty-led IPE activities, including panel discussions, workshops, networking events, presentations of scholarly work and a keynote address.
