The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (now called UT Health San Antonio) represents itself accurately to all US Department of Education recognized accrediting agencies with which it holds accreditation and is consistent in the way it describes itself with regard to purpose, governance, programs, degrees, diplomas, certificates, personnel, finances and constituencies. Furthermore, the university keeps accrediting agencies apprised of any changes of accreditation status. UT Health’s process for notifying accreditors when a change occurs is initiated within the school’s faculty that prepares institutional summaries or implements changes. Additionally, the most recent letters of reaccreditation or initial accreditation are included in the table below as evidence that UT Health San Antonio has not had an accreditation terminated, nor has any negative action been taken by the accrediting agencies against UT Health San Antonio programs.

Table 14.4-A below includes a list of discipline-specific accredited programs at UT Health San Antonio and its accrediting agency, along with the date of the most recent review and copies of statements that describe the institution’s accreditation status to the programmatic accreditor. All accreditations held by the institution and its programs are reported to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges within the school’s dean’s offices and the Office of the Vice President of Academic, Faculty and Student Affairs. A comprehensive list of university program accreditations is maintained on the accreditation webpage and is updated as changes occur. In addition, as part of the institution’s annual catalog revision process, the list of university and program accreditations is reviewed, verified, and updated as necessary.
The most recent reaccreditation or initial accreditation correspondence from the programmatic accrediting agencies has also been included in table 14.4-A to provide evidence that UT Health SA has not had an accreditation terminated, nor has the accrediting agencies taken any negative action against UT Health San Antonio programs. The reaccreditation letter included below for the EMT-Paramedic program references a site visit set that was scheduled for 2021 and was rescheduled for 2024 due to COVID-19 restrictions. The agency confirms that the 2016 letter is its latest accreditation communication, with the next one expected in November 2024.
